With over 48 years dedicated to professional nursing, my journey began at Brockton Hospital School of Nursing (where I am actively involved in our Alumni Association) and Emmanuel College. Throughout my career, I found my true passion in labor and delivery, which brought me immense joy. I also had the amazing opportunity to work as a nurse at Walt Disney World in Florida, where I played a dual role as an occupational health nurse and provided first aid to the park's guests. Some of my favorite memories at Disney include the playful visits from the characters to the first aid station and the peaceful moments I spent outside, surrounded by the beauty of that magical place before the guests arrived.

As a parent, my children grew up in Kingston and graduated from Silver Lake High School. During their school years, I had the privilege of substituting as the school nurse for students from kindergarten to 12th grade. Moreover, when my youngest daughter attended a small camp in Marion, MA, I also filled in as the camp nurse on several occasions.

Currently, I am serving as clinical faculty for Northeastern University, where I oversee student nurses during their maternal child health rotation. I am thrilled to offer my support to the campers and staff as the Winnipesaukee Lacrosse Camp Nurse this summer!

As we approach the start of camp for any families of campers with medications, specific care notes, and dietary needs, I wanted to send out a friendly reminder to be well-prepared with all necessary items on the first day. This includes labeled medications, care notes, and any special dietary requirements. During the check-in process, I will carefully review and confirm the specific care instructions for each camper and collect any medications that need to be administered during their stay. If additional dietary items for meal options were specified directly to accompany your specific camper due to specifically noted allergy, please note those items will be received and stored at the island mess hall following family / camper cabin set up.

I'm eagerly looking forward to meeting each and every one of you during check-in on August 20th and doing my part throughout the week to take care of everyone on the island. Please feel free to send any medical additions since your registration or for review regarding nursing needs directly to the Directors. Together, we'll embark on a safe, fun and memorable camp experience this summer!

Until then, I wish you all the very best!

Warm Regards,

Mary Berry RN | Winni LAX Camp Nurse
